In this post i have discussed about the Vacancies in NATIONAL SCIENCE CENTER, DELHI for the post of Trainee Education And Trainee Crafts For ITI and Graduate Fresh Pass-out Candidates.

National Science Centre, Delhi is one of the largest Science Centre in Asia and it is popularly known amongst its visitors as, “A Dream Castle for One and All”. The iconic structure of the Centre is an exemplary landmark in the arena of modern architecture which is strategically located in the vicinity of the commercial exhibition hub of India i.e. Pragati Maidan Complex. The Annual footfall to the Centre is more than half a million visitors. Nobel Laureates, Eminent Scientists & Technocrats, Astronauts, Museum Professionals and many more luminaries from various fields are its regular visitors. The primary objective of the Centre is to engage , educate and entertain the visitors through thematic exhibitions, interactive educational activities and outreach programmes.

National Science Centre, Delhi, was inaugurated on 9th January 1992 by Shri P V Narsimha Rao, the then Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. National Science Centre, Delhi, is a unit of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), which itself has 27 Science Centres & Science Cities under its umbrella. NCSM is funded and governed by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

2.Efforts to achieve scientific literacy in the country.
3.To inculcate Scientific Awareness & Scientific Temper.
4.To organise various educational programmes for the benefit of students, teachers & society.
5.Supporting curriculum based education at school & college level by imparting teachers training.
6.Encouraging inquisitive minds to inculcate innovative ideas.
7.Display & demonstration of progress & achievements in various fields in science and technology.
8.“Learning To Do”, “Learn Through Fun” have been chosen as mode of learning.
9.Preserving the Science & Technology Heritage of the country.

Applications are invited in prescribed form from eligible candidates for engagement of Trainee Education & Trainee Crafts in various disciplinesfor a period of 1year, extendable for 1 more year depending on satisfactory performance during the 1st year of Traineeship and at the discretion of the Centre. The Trainees are required to explain science exhibits/exhibitions to visitors, attend to work related to exhibit fabrication, repairs of exhibits, equipment, etc. travel extensively with mobile science exhibition all over Northern India and also assist Curators/Education Officers in science popularization programmes, developmental activities, etc. of the Centre.
Eligible and willing candidates in possession of the above qualification may walk-in for written/communication skill tests on the date indicated above atthe conference room of this Centre. Thecandidates have to report at the above address by 9.00 A.M sharp for facilitating verification of documents. Candidates are required to bring their bio-data on prescribed form which may be downloaded from Centre’s web site full particulars of educational qualification, etc. along with attested copies of their testimonials.Candidates are also required to bring their certificates/ testimonials in originalfor verification and Pen, Pencil, Eraser, etc. at the time of test. No Traveling charges shall be admissible for appearing in the test.No interim enquiries in this regard will be entertained.
