LECTURE ON VAPOUR PRESSURE [FLUID MECHANICS]

Hi All

In this video lecture i have discussed about what is vapour pressure, idea behind vapour pressure and how it comes into force.
Vapour pressure is the equilibrium pressure when a liquid is transformed into vapour.
When a solid or liquid is heated ina closed container, it is changed into vapour state. However, some of the vapour molecules will condense back into the original state. This process continues until the rate of evaporation becomes equal to the rate of condensation. At this point, no further transformation takes place.
This stage is called Equilibrium. The pressure exerted by the vapour above the liquid at a given temperature in the closed container is called Vapour pressure.
Vapour pressure of a liquid or fluid depends upon temperature.
